Maria Anastasiadou


Aegean glyptic


Maria Anastasiadou is a specialist of Aegean glyptic. After a postdoctoral fellowship in Louvain-la-Neuve she is currently employed by the University of Heidelberg where, among others, she is supervising the work at the archive of the CMS.

She participated in the Sissi campaigns of 2010 and 2011 and is also a member of the Koumasa excavations team. Her research interests concentrate on the subjects of seals and sealing practices in the Aegean, Minoan scripts, regionalism and transculturality in the Bronze Age Aegean.
